Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TaxRollback ("Service"), operated by TaxRollback LLC ("Company," "we," "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
2. Description of Service
TaxRollback provides software tools and information to help Texas homeowners understand their property tax appraisals and prepare property tax protests. The Service includes property data analysis, evidence packet generation, protest form preparation, hearing preparation tools, and educational content.
The Service is a self-service platform. We provide tools, data, and AI-generated analysis — not consulting, advisory, or representation services.
3. User Accounts and Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it current.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes related to property tax protest for properties you own or are authorized to manage. You may not use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others, or to submit fraudulent protest filings.
4. Subscription and Payment Terms
The Service offers free and paid tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed annually per property. Subscriptions auto-renew at the then-current rate unless cancelled before the renewal date.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not issue pro-rata refunds for unused time.
Money-Back Guarantee: If you do not achieve at least $100 in property tax savings, you may request a full refund subject to these conditions: (1) you must request the refund within 60 days of your ARB hearing outcome; (2) you must provide your Notice of Final Order showing the appraised value was not reduced by $100 or more; (3) if your protest is still pending, the guarantee cannot be claimed until a final determination is issued. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.
All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information.
5. Not Property Tax Consultants
TaxRollback is not a property tax consulting firm. We are not licensed under Texas Occupations Code Chapter 1152 and do not provide property tax consulting services as defined by that statute. We do not represent you before appraisal districts, appraisal review boards, or any governmental body.
Our Expert Marketplace connects you with independently licensed property tax consultants. Those consultants are independent contractors, not employees or agents of TaxRollback.
6. Not Attorneys; Not Legal Advice
TaxRollback is not a law firm. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice, tax advice, or professional advice of any kind. The information and tools provided are for educational and informational purposes only. You should consult a licensed attorney or tax professional for advice specific to your situation.
7. Limitation of Liability
We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in a reduction of your property tax appraisal or tax liability. Property tax protest outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including appraisal district policies, ARB panel decisions, and local market conditions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaxRollback shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Data Accuracy
Property data displayed in the Service is sourced from publicly available county appraisal district (CAD) records. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that CAD data is complete, current, or error-free. You are responsible for verifying all property data before submitting any protest filing.
AI-generated analysis, comparable sales data, and evidence packets are tools to assist your decision-making. They are not certified appraisals or official valuations.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, algorithms, content, and branding, is owned by TaxRollback LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission.
Evidence packets and analysis generated for your properties are provided for your personal use in connection with your property tax protest. You may share them with your appraisal district, ARB panel, or licensed consultant.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a manner that could harm the Company, other users, or third parties. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
